Cybersecurity Training as Part of the Digital Municipality Program
A professionally designed cybersecurity training program for the Municipality. Covering key topics to support the effective implementation of new solutions under the Digital Municipality project.
About the training
Effective Training for Municipality Employees Seeking to Expand Their Knowledge in Cybersecurity
This training is delivered in the form of lectures and workshops, ensuring that participants can effectively apply their new knowledge and skills in practical scenarios. The program emphasizes not only the delivery of theoretical knowledge, but above all, the provision of effective, practical methods and techniques, as well as valuable experiences and best practices.
The training is a one-day course, and participants will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the program. During the session, key cybersecurity topics relevant to municipal representatives will be discussed. The training materials and exercises are designed to prepare participants for fulfilling their responsibilities related to the subject of the course.
Training objective
- Raising cybersecurity awareness among training participants.
- Providing support in clarifying doubts and addressing questions raised by participants during the training.
- Acquiring knowledge and competencies to prepare participants—both theoretically and practically—for fulfilling their cybersecurity-related responsibilities.
- Improving the ability to apply procedures in practice.
- Supporting the enhancement of overall organizational security.
- Effective training for individuals seeking to expand their knowledge in the field of cybersecurity.
- Certificates of completion for all participants.
Target audience
The Digital Municipality program is aimed at all municipalities in Poland (urban, urban-rural, and rural). The training itself is targeted at employees of Municipal Offices. Employees at all levels of the organization should participate in the training. One of the main goals of the Digital Municipality program is to provide digital education for local government units (LGUs) regarding the operation of acquired hardware, software, and licenses.
Training language
Training is conducted in Polish.
There is an option to organize the training in English.
Training methodology
Achieving effective training outcomes is possible by selecting both the appropriate topics and training methods tailored to the specific needs of the participants and the subject matter. Below we present the methods and techniques we use:
LECTURE
We deliver knowledge to participants using dedicated educational aids, such as multimedia presentations. This forms the substantive foundation of the training, during which we introduce the topic, discuss key concepts, and describe roles, processes, procedures, etc.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
As practitioners, we base our training programs on real-life events presented in the context of specific problems. We help participants independently arrive at conclusions or solutions. Our trainings are strongly focused on practice and skill development.
DISCUSSION
Participants express their opinions and share experiences. A well-formulated discussion topic, by confronting at least two different viewpoints, usually evokes strong emotional engagement. Discussions enable the development of common solutions or prepare arguments on the given topic.
BRAINSTORMING
In a short time, we generate many ideas and solutions for specific problems and situations. We engage participants, stimulate thinking, and foster creativity.
EXERCISES
Practical tasks related to the training subject, such as creating a process, conducting case study analysis, etc. These effectively complement lectures and practical examples.
TESTS
We verify the participant’s knowledge and skills level. This helps identify competency gaps and appropriately plan the educational process to improve the participant’s abilities. Depending on the nature of the training, tests may be conducted using various tools, such as knowledge and performance tests.
SIMULATIONS
These provide an excellent sample of real-life situations in which participants actively engage and experience the consequences of their actions.
SUMMARY
After completing each topic, we summarize the discussed material. This is carried out by the trainer and allows participants to review the most important points related to the subject, while giving them the opportunity to verify their level of understanding.
