The Central Sports Centre (COS) is a specialized entity focused on the training of the Olympic and national teams, including both senior and junior athletes. It operates seven Olympic Preparation Centres: in Spała, Władysławowo, Giżycko, Wałcz, Szczyrk, Zakopane, and Duszniki-Zdrój.
The main task of COS is to provide conditions for sports training conducted by Polish sports associations and other entities involved in physical culture, primarily creating the conditions necessary for preparing the national team for participation in the Olympic and Paralympic Games, European Championships, and World Championships. COS is a budgetary institution under the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
